奈良県生駒郡平群町にある信貴山 朝護孫子寺。
西暦582年とも西暦910年とも聖徳太子とも命蓮上人ともいわれているが創建年は不明、本尊は毘沙門天。
信貴山 真言宗の本山。
聖徳太子が、寅の年、寅の日、寅の刻に戦の勝利を毘沙門天の像を作り祈願し
その加護によって勝利したことにちなみ境内では虎の像が数多く安置されている。
この地は南側の斜面に位置していて、日の出が美しい場所です。
